Notes on this album by Mike Mason

These recordings were made somewhere between 2003-2005.
That Deadwood Feeling nearly did not see the light of day for reasons best know to the film makers.
Way back when, I was asked by a member of the crew to send in a track or two. The director liked the tracks so much that he asked if I could re-score the whole film, which I happily did.
But after completion it looked as if Deadwood the movie was going to disappear without trace. The word was the original negative went missing so the film could never be shown.
In late 2008 I was informed there was going to be a DVD release for early 2009. Unfortunately when I went back to the files, for the music sessions, due to some corruptions I could not get the sessions back to remix for a soundtrack album.
What I did have were some of the mixdowns that were used for the film. This is what I have used to make this soundtrack album. These tracks have been compiled and released to coincide with the 2009 DVD release of the film.
